PikeView won the last time they faced Van and things went their way on Friday too. PikeView was the clear victor by a 15-4 margin over Van. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Emma Compton was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Compton was even better at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, PikeView got a massive performance out of Cora Belcher, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Shelby Maddox, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

PikeView kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Van only managed six hits.

PikeView has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for Van, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, PikeView will venture away from home to take on Independence at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Van, they will square off against WestSide at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
