Softball Game Preview: Arendell Parrott Academy Patriots vs. John Paul II Catholic Saints

The Arendell Parrott Academy Patriots will head out to face off against the John Paul II Catholic Saints at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Arendell Parrott Academy will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Arendell Parrott Academy turned things around against Fayetteville Christian on Monday. They blew past the Warriors 18-8. The Patriots' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, John Paul II Catholic hadn't done well against Wayne Christian recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. John Paul II Catholic put the hurt on Wayne Christian with a sharp 16-5 victory. The Saints not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 28th.

John Paul II Catholic got a massive performance out of Bailey Tyndall, who went 2-for-3 with five stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. With that strong performance, Tyndall is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Alana Albritton was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing five bases while going 2-for-3.

John Paul II Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wayne Christian only posted an OBP of .348.

The win got John Paul II Catholic back to even at 5-5. As for Arendell Parrott Academy, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-5.
