Volleyball Game Preview: Mescalero Apache Chiefs vs. Cloudcroft Bears

Mescalero Apache is 2-8 against Cloudcroft since October of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Chiefs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bears at 5:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Mescalero Apache lost 3-0 to Mesilla Valley Christian School on Saturday.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-7, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Cloudcroft came up short against Lordsburg on Saturday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Mavericks: they've now lost four in a row.

While Cloudcroft was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-23, 25-16.

Cloudcroft's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Mescalero Apache, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-19.
