Volleyball Game Preview: Grand Junction Tigers vs. Basalt Longhorns + How To Watch

The Grand Junction Tigers will head out to face off against the Basalt Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Saturday, Grand Junction came up short against Durango and fell 3-1. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 19-25, 25-21, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Basalt didn't have quite enough to beat Soroco on Saturday and fell 3-2. The Longhorns have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Basalt sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-15, 21-25, 25-14, 13-25, 15-5.

Basalt's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Grand Junction, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-14.

Grand Junction beat Basalt 3-1 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
