Baseball Recap: Herron Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Herron can now relate to. They came up short against the Cathedral Fighting Irish on Saturday, falling 18-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Achaeans in their meetings with the Fighting Irish: they've now lost four in a row.

Herron saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cardell Mathis, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Herron's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Cathedral, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Herron nor Cathedral have any future games scheduled.
