Wright City hasn't had much luck against Montgomery County recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wright City Wildcats will square off against the Montgomery County Wildcats at 6:00 p.m.

Wright City came up into this matchup off a tough 37-point loss on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Elsberry by a score of 52-50 on Wednesday. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Meanwhile, Montgomery County put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Battle 77-48. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

Montgomery County's victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.3 points per game. As for Wright City, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

Wright City took a serious blow against Montgomery County in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 77-19. Can Wright City avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
