Softball Game Preview: Crestview Knights vs. Shawnee Indians

The Crestview Knights will face off against the Shawnee Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Friday, Crestview didn't have quite enough to beat Miller City and fell 8-7.

Meanwhile, Shawnee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Parkway. The game marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Shawnee saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lyla Rosas, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double.

Crestview's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Shawnee, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything went Crestview's way against Shawnee when the teams last played back in April of 2022, as Crestview made off with a 17-4 victory. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
