Masuk came tearing into Monday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Weston Trojans. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trojans, too.

Graham Gabriel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 13 Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one walk in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Nico Convertito was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Jackson Zylick was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run.

Masuk was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Masuk's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Weston, they dropped their record down to 3-14 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Masuk will challenge Bethel at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Weston, they will welcome Bassick at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.25 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
