After a string of eight wins, Central Lee's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Chariton Chargers by a score of 3-2. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in July of 2019.

Central Lee's loss dropped their record down to 19-4. As for Chariton, they pushed their record up to 24-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Central Lee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chariton, they will challenge Cardinal on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Chargers 4.1, the Comets 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
