            Volleyball Preview: Burges Mustangs vs. El Paso Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Burges is 2-8 against El Paso since September of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Tuesday. After both having extra time off,  the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out  at 6:40  p.m. Both come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.

If Andress wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Burges, they should've done a better job of containing  Emilly Banuelos. The Mustangs came out on top against the Eagles by a score of  3-1  last Friday thanks in part to  Banuelos, who  had 26  digs. She has been hot for a while, having  posted 14 or more  digs the last 13 times she's  played.
 Burges was especially dominant in the fourth set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-18, 22-25,  25-15.
 Burges can attribute much of their success to   Savanna Banuelos, who  had five  digs and three  aces, and   Emily Rodriguez, who  had ten  digs and nine  kills. That's the most  aces  Banuelos has posted since back in August.
Meanwhile, El Paso was able to grind out a solid  victory over Jefferson last Friday, taking the game  3-1. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Tigers.
 The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 21-25, 25-16,  25-21.
 El Paso's win bumped their record up to 23-13. As for Burges, their victory bumped their record up to 20-8.
