Volleyball Game Preview: Joshua Owls vs. Burleson Elks + How To Watch

Joshua is on a seven-game streak of home wins, while Burleson is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Owls will host the Elks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Joshua made easy work of Everman and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Joshua took every set by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-7, 25-4.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Burleson sidestepped Centennial for a 3-2 win.

Burleson was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-21, 21-25, 25-23, 19-17.

Joshua's victory bumped their record up to 23-9. As for Burleson, their win bumped their record up to 13-14.

Everything went Joshua's way against Burleson in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Joshua made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Owls repeat their success, or do the Elks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
