Rockbridge County is 9-1 against Harrisonburg since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wildcats will host the Blue Streaks at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Rockbridge County and four for Harrisonburg.

Monday just wasn't the day for Rockbridge County's offense. They lost 6-0 to East Rockingham on Monday.

Meanwhile, Harrisonburg also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Broadway on Monday, falling 10-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Blue Streaks were not able to get on the board.

Harrisonburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Rockbridge County, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Harrisonburg's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Rockbridge County has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Harrisonburg, though, as they've been averaging 15 hits. Given Rockbridge County's sizable advantage in that area, the Blue Streaks will need to find a way to close that gap.

Rockbridge County couldn't quite finish off Harrisonburg in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 2-0. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
