Softball Recap: Northgate Takes a Loss

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Northgate was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles. The defeat continues a trend for the Broncos in their meetings with the Ugly Eagles: they've now lost nine in a row.

Northgate saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophie Hanko, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Northgate's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Clayton Valley Charter, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-5-1.

Northgate wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-4 win against Benicia on the 29th. As for Clayton Valley Charter, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-1 victory against Acalanes on the 29th.
