Kamiakin is 1-9 against Richland since March of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Braves will challenge the Bombers at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Kamiakin is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Ferris a 14-0 shutout. The victory was nothing new for the Braves as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Lizzie O'Leary made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 17 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Kamiakin let Cailyn Grandeen and Harley Worster run wild. Grandeen went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Worster went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Grandeen a new career-high. Analise Thomasson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.
Kamiakin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ferris only posted an OBP of .190.
Meanwhile, Richland entered their tilt with Gonzaga Prep on Tuesday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They blew past the Bullpups 17-0.
Adelyn Etzel was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Etzel was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.
In other pitching news, Ali Evans looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Payton Chacon was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Scarlett Hudon, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.
Kamiakin pushed their record up to 16-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Richland, their record now sits at 21-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Kamiakin has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Richland struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Kamiakin suffered a grim 13-1 defeat to Richland in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Braves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
