Football Recap: Huge Rushing Attack Leads Live Oak over River Valley + How To Watch

The Live Oak Lions earned a 34-26 victory over the River Valley Falcons on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Ian Miranda was his usual excellent self, rushing for 190 yards and two touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 150 rushing yards. Bradley Perigo was in the mix too, providing Live Oak with two TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Live Oak was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 267 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 177 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, River Valley still got an impressive performance from Jesus Fernandez, who rushed for 145 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.5 yards per carry.

Live Oak's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for River Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Live Oak has already played their next game, a 42-29 defeat against Las Plumas on the 10th. As for River Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 26-0 loss against Bear Creek on the 10th.
