Football Recap: Wickenburg Christian Academy Piles Up the Points Against Sequoia Charter

While Wickenburg Christian Academy put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Sequoia Charter. The Lion simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Stallions 44-0. The high-scoring effort was just what the Lion needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Connor Zimmerman threw for 53 yards on five of ten attempts. Haze Correa was his top target, picking up 26 receiving yards and one score.

Wickenburg Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Sequoia Charter, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Wickenburg Christian Academy will be playing at home against Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way's defense has only allowed 10.9 points per game this season, so Wickenburg Christian Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Sequoia Charter, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Berean Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 30th. The Eagles will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
