South moved up to 145 from 184 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Fox Valley - Valley. The Gators were able to move up by defeating McHenry 28-21.
South made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,238 from 4,961. The advance stemmed from a 28-21 victory over the Warriors last week.
Huntley's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Red Raiders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Blake Jacobs has thrown for 597 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while Josh Esikiel has 20 catches for 212 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Chuck Ahsmann's team takes on Jacobs. At the moment, the Gators are in fourth, while the Golden Eagles are in second.
Jacobs led the league in scoring this week after putting up 43 points on Woodstock.
