Soccer Recap: Surry Central Comes Up Short

Surry Central was the 5-0 winner over South Stokes when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Surry Central Golden Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Stokes Sauras on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Golden Eagles have lost by exactly two goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Surry Central and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for South Stokes, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Surry Central will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Elkin at 5:30 p.m. on March 19th. As for South Stokes, they will welcome East Wilkes at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be East Wilkes' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
