Mountain View faced Lovell in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Buffalos took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Buffalos' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Addyson Stephens paced Mountain View's offense, picking up 13 kills. Stephens got some help from Mariah Micheli and her 31 assists. Emily Anderson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 22-13-1. As for Lovell, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-4-1.
