Basketball Recap: Woodgrove Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Woodgrove, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. Everything went their way against the Dominion Titans on Saturday as the Woodgrove Wolverines made off with a 61-41 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolverines also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Among those leading the charge was Caleb Roach, who posted 18 points. Matt Rafert was another key player, putting up ten points.

Woodgrove has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points per game. As for Dominion, they dropped their record down to 5-12 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

When Woodgrove and Dominion next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Woodgrove will face off against Broad Run and their three-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Dominion will try to stop Loudoun Valley's four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
