Soccer Recap: Madison County Comes Up Short

Madison County and Danville pushed the score to 6-2 the last time they played Danville, but on Tuesday defenses reigned supreme. The Tigers fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 1-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Danville this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-2 back in March.

Madison County has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Danville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-6-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Madison County will square off against Mae Jemison at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Danville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Elkmont at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
