Soccer Game Preview: Windermere Prep vs. Trinity Prep

The Windermere Prep Lakers will head out to take on the Trinity Prep Saints at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Windermere Prep is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy back in December of 2024. Windermere Prep fell 5-3 to Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy. While losing is never fun, the Lakers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Tigers are ranked 61st).

Alyssa Parsons and Sasha Campbell scored all three of Windermere Prep's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, Trinity Prep's contest on Tuesday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. Their defense stepped up to hand University a 4-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Saints.

Windermere Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-3. As for Trinity Prep, the victory got them back to even at 4-4-2.

Everything went Windermere Prep's way against Trinity Prep in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as Windermere Prep made off with a 6-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Windermere Prep since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
