Pleasant Valley and Valley squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Pleasant Valley had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2. The Spartans' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Isabelle Kremer paced Pleasant Valley's offense, picking up 23 kills. Kremer got some help from Mazie Sweers and her 43 assists. Addi Allaman controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Pleasant Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 29-6. As for Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-12 record this season.

Pleasant Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Valley, they will square off against Ankeny Centennial on Wednesday.
