Walnut is 9-1 against Diamond Bar since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Mustangs will be playing at home against the Brahmas at 3:30 p.m. Walnut will be strutting in after a win while Diamond Bar will be coming in after a loss.

While Walnut's victory against Bonita wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Bearcats on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Meanwhile, Diamond Bar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Ayala.

Sebastian Roseli was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Walnut's victory bumped their record up to 12-13-1. As for Diamond Bar, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.

Walnut skirted past Diamond Bar 3-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Brahmas have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
