Basketball Recap: Dillon Christian Takes a Loss

Dillon Christian was the 68-14 winner over Southeastern Christian Academy when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Dillon Christian Warriors took a 55-40 bruising from the Southeastern Christian Academy Warriors on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that Dillon Christian has lost by exactly 15 points.

Southeastern Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Ella Gregory, who almost dropped a triple-double on 19 points, ten rebounds, and nine steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Gregory has scored at least a third of Southeastern Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Elizabeth Dickerson, who posted 16 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Dillon Christian's defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Southeastern Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
