Volleyball Game Preview: San Gabriel Mission Pioneers vs. St. Bernard Vikings

San Gabriel Mission is on a five-game streak of home losses, and St. Bernard an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The San Gabriel Mission Pioneers will be playing in front of their home fans against the St. Bernard Vikings at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Thursday, San Gabriel Mission didn't have quite enough to beat Serra and fell 3-2. While the Pioneers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cavaliers 25-20 in the first set.

San Gabriel Mission took Serra into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-15, 25-17, 23-25, 15-11.

Meanwhile, St. Bernard came up short against St. Paul on Thursday, falling 3-0.
