Bombers Explode as Basketball Champions

The Mid-West City Bombers go on to post a 29-1 overall record and win the Oklahoma State Championships.

Mid-West City had a fantastic season this year under the tutelage of Coach Rodney Dindy. The Bombers lit it up and recorded a 29-1 season and Oklahoma State Championship season. Mid-West City posted one of the most impressive playoff margins of victories I have come across on the Tour of Champions. During the 2007 playoffs, Bomber's opponents came no closer then 15 pts over a four game span, including the championship game over Eisenhower, in which the Bombers won 62-47. I was on hand at Mid-West City High School with Staff Sergeant Stone from the Oklahoma Army National Guard to present the Bombers with the Max Preps tour of Champions trophy to commemorate their strong national ranking. Another important acknowledgement made that day was to 6'6" forward Xavier Alexander. Xavier was awarded the Max Preps player of the nation trophy for his outstanding play and leadership this year. We will all be watching Mid-West City next year as they return three starters for a run at back to back titles. We will also be watching Xavier Alexander at George Washington as he will be making an immediate impact on that teams success. Thank you Mid-West City and good luck next year.
