Alton barely beat Cabool the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Comets were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the Bulldogs on Monday. The Comets have beaten the Bulldogs the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bulldogs has come to flipping the script.

Alton's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Cabool, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Alton has already played their next game, an 8-3 loss against Willow Springs on the 24th. As for Cabool, they will face off against Hartville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
