Laney has gone a perfect 10-0 against New Hanover recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Laney will venture away from home to take on New Hanover at 6:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Laney managed to keep up with Hoggard until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Laney lost 3-0 to Hoggard. While losing is never fun, Laney can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while Hoggard are ranked third).

Meanwhile, New Hanover has been on a difficult stretch since their win on February 25. They came up short against Ashley on Friday, falling 9-0.

Laney's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-4-2. As for New Hanover, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-1.

Laney took their victory against New Hanover when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0. Will Laney repeat their success, or does New Hanover has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
