Volleyball Recap: Coral Springs Takes a Loss

Coral Springs was the 3-2 winner over Stoneman Douglas when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Colts fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Coral Springs took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 21-25, 23-25, 25-23, 15-5.

Joel Jobi paced Coral Springs' offense, picking up 22 kills. Jobi got some help from Mickinson Jean-Mary and his 40 assists. Finally, Princeton Munroe Jr kept Coral Springs' defense grounded, leading the team with seven blocks.

Coral Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Stoneman Douglas, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Coral Springs will square off against Coconut Creek at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Stoneman Douglas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
