Recap: Chiles Timberwolves vs. Rickards Raiders

After a string of four wins, the Chiles Timberwolves's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 40-39 to Rickards. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Chiles has scored all season.
Chiles lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dylon Burgess, who scored 13 points along with two steals. Isaiah Bundrage was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Benjamin Plummer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Rickards, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. It was the first time this season that Plummer pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Romie Cosby, who scored seven points.
Chiles' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-10. As for Rickards, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.
Chiles won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Wakulla at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Hopefully Chiles focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Thursday. As for Rickards, they will take on Middleburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Rickards is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Middleburg in Florida (Rickards is ranked 62nd, while Middleburg is ranked 447th).
