Soccer Game Preview: Southwestern Randolph vs. North Moore + How To Watch

The Southwestern Randolph Cougars are taking a road trip to square off against the North Moore Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Southwestern Randolph will be looking to extend their current 14-game winning streak.

Southwestern Randolph's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top against Bishop McGuinness by a score of 2-0. Given Southwestern Randolph's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 25th, while Bishop McGuinness are ranked 172nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chris Betancourt and Fernando Hernandez-Dominguez scored both of Southwestern Randolph's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 51 goals.

Meanwhile, North Moore came up short against Northwood last Wednesday and fell 4-2. North Moore haven't had much luck with Northwood recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Southwestern Randolph's win bumped their record up to 20-1. As for North Moore, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6-1.

Southwestern Randolph took their victory against North Moore when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 9-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
