Baseball Recap: Genesee's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Genesee came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Colfax, falling 11-1. The match marked Genesee's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Genesee saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Bollman, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases. Bollman is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Genesee fell to 3-1-1. As for Colfax, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Genesee will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Troy at 5:00 p.m. on April 8. As for Colfax, they will challenge Connell at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
