Baseball Game Preview: American Leadership Academy Patriots vs. Lowcountry Leadership NaviGators

The American Leadership Academy Patriots will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Lowcountry Leadership NaviGators at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

American Leadership Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came out on top against Richland Northeast by a score of 15-10 on Wednesday. With that win, the Patriots brought their scoring average up to 7.4 runs per game.

Landon Tolley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Tolley was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Tolley is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jake Cantor, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs. Those RBI marked the first that he brought in this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalton Teets, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base.

American Leadership Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Richland Northeast only posted a batting average of .259.

Meanwhile, Lowcountry Leadership made easy work of Timberland on Wednesday and carried off a 20-5 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the NaviGators.

The win got Lowcountry Leadership back to even at 2-2. As for American Leadership Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
