Softball Recap: Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton Find Success

Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Madelia Blackhawks by a score of 10-5. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their one-run performance the game before.

Autumn Thissen was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those runs marked the first that she has scored this season. Another player making a difference was Ellah Oliver, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton back to even at 5-5-1. As for Madelia, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton will face off against Medford at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Madelia, they will square off against Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
