It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Spanish Springs had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They really took it to the Reed Raiders for the full four quarters, racking up a 71-34 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Cougars who have now won 14 matchups in a row.

Spanish Springs got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayden Acosta out in front who went 6 for 9 on his way to 16 points. Those 16 points gave Acosta a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Trevor Landreth, who went 6 of 9 to rack up 12 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Spanish Springs smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 17 consecutive games.

Spanish Springs pushed their record up to 21-4 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.1 points over those games. As for Reed, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season.

Coming up, Spanish Springs will take on Reno at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Reno has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Reed does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
