Basketball Recap: Keystone Oaks Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Keystone Oaks can now relate to. They came up short against the Forest Hills Rangers on Saturday, falling 83-58. While losing is never fun, the Golden Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 289th, while the Rangers are ranked 17th).

Forest Hills found their leader in sophomore Dylan Stohon, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 11 boards. Stohon's big performance that afternoon made it 24 games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Brandon Gregovich was another key player, shooting 80% from the field on his way to 18 points and seven rebounds.

Keystone Oaks is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-8. As for Forest Hills, they pushed their record up to 24-2 with the victory, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season.

Keystone Oaks does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Forest Hills, they will take on Mohawk Area on Wednesday. Forest Hills knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 26 matches -- so hopefully Mohawk Area likes a good challenge.
