Recap: St. Joseph Central Flyers vs. Symmes Valley Vikings

The St. Joseph Central Flyers lost against the Symmes Valley Vikings back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. St. Joseph Central fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 43-41. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points St. Joseph Central has scored all season.

Jacob Cade was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds for Symmes Valley. Cade has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Will Jones, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and two steals.

St. Joseph Central has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Symmes Valley, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Joseph Central will take on the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clay is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Symmes Valley, they will be playing at home against the Oaks at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
