Holmdel waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Freehold Boro Colonials 12-2. Considering the Hornets have won five games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Holmdel's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Freehold Boro, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-20.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holmdel will head out to take on Raritan at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rockets' pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so the Hornets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Freehold Boro, they will head out on the road to square off against Middletown South at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
