York has gone a perfect 7-0 against Richland Northeast recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. York is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Broome a 15-0 shutout on Wednesday. Considering the Cougars have won six matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Layla Clayton made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.4 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Marisa Reyes, who went 3-for-5 with three doubles, four RBI, and two runs. Those doubles were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Dover, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
York always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Richland Northeast's offense. They lost 14-0 to York on Tuesday. The Cavaliers have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.
Richland Northeast's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for York, their record is now 7-3.

It's a different story for Richland Northeast, though, as they've been averaging only 3 strikeouts. Will York keep running through batters, or will Richland Northeast buck the trend?
