Meridian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ellie Friesen, who scored 22 points. The match was Friesen's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Maureen Tremblay was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with nine rebounds.
James Madison's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Meridian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
