The James Madison Warhawks had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They slipped by Meridian 58-57 on Saturday. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win James Madison has managed all season.
Meridian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ellie Friesen, who scored 22 points. The match was Friesen's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Maureen Tremblay was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with nine rebounds.
James Madison's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Meridian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

As for Meridian, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Brentsville District at 7:15 p.m. Hopefully Brentsville District focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
