It's playoff time, and Quartz Hill had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the Rio Hondo Prep Kares 3-2 on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Royals sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Quartz Hill had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 26-28, 25-21, 25-18, 15-13.

When it comes to explaining why Rio Hondo Prep lost, don't look at Landry Johnson. Despite the final result, he had 21 digs and two aces. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times he's played.

Quartz Hill's victory bumped their record up to 26-12-1. As for Rio Hondo Prep, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-14.

Quartz Hill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Village Christian on the 10th. Rio Hondo Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
