Volleyball Preview: Timberland T-Wolves vs. North Point Grizzlies

The Timberland T-Wolves will head out to face off against the North Point Grizzlies at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Timberland is looking to tack on another W to their ten-game streak on the road dating back to last season.

Last Friday, Timberland made easy work of Howell Central and carried off a 3-0 win.

Timberland never let Howell Central on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 27-25, 25-19.

Meanwhile, North Point didn't have quite enough to beat Liberty on Monday and fell 3-2. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Point actually scored more points across those five sets (110-100), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 16-25, 26-24, 17-25, 16-14.

North Point's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Emma Shryock, who had 11 digs and three aces, and Miley Poeling, who had nine digs. That's the most aces Shryock has posted in her last seven contests.

Even though they lost, North Point was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Timberland is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5-1 record this season. As for North Point, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9-2.
