Rensselaer extended the longest winning streak in Section 2 D - South this week by beating Greenwich, 37-16. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Rensselaer moved up to 172 from 220 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 37-16 win over the Witches helped the Rams improve their standing.
Cambridge's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ethan English threw for 102 yards and Sheadon Mosso had 45 yards receiving. On the ground Matt Parmenter chipped in 121 yards. Caleb Rowland helped Cambridge's passing attack out by catching one ball for 34 yards.
Cambridge's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. English has thrown for 462 yards and one touchdown this season, while Mosso has nine catches for 182 yards. Parmenter leads the league in rushing with 755 yards.
A big matchup in Section 2 D - South this week will be when the Indians take on Greenwich. Cambridge is in second place, while Brandon Linnett's team is in third place.
The Indians led the league in scoring this week after putting up 47 points on Catholic Central. Len Darcy ran for 107 yards and caught two passes for 23 yards in the win.
