On Monday, St. Georges Tech faced Hodgson Vo-Tech in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The St. Georges Tech Hawks secured a 50-44 W over the Hodgson Vo-Tech Eagles. For the Hawks, this counts as revenge for the 51-43 win the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Hodgson Vo-Tech still got an impressive performance from Sanaa Saunders Young, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten boards. That's the most points Saunders Young has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaila Torres, who had seven points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

St. Georges Tech's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Hodgson Vo-Tech, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-7.
