Basketball Recap: Belmont Christian Academy Comes Up Short at Home Against Bethel Christian Academy

Belmont Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Bethel Christian Academy Blue Flames on Monday, falling 76-51.

Bethel Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Isiah Poteet out in front who dropped a double-double with 31 points and 16 boards. The game was Poteet's fifth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Haylon Dean, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten assists.

The victory keeps Bethel Christian Academy at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Bethel Christian Academy will face off against Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Belmont Christian Academy will be paying especially close attention to the Blue Flames' matchup: after the Blue Flames face off against Community Christian Academy, they'll take on Belmont Christian Academy again at 5:00 p.m. on the 15th.
