Jermaine Moncrieffe commands the offense for Stallions win

Recap: Queen's Grant Stallions vs. Valor Preparatory Academy Owls
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Queen's Grant Stallions ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top against Valor Preparatory Academy by a score of 64-55. The victory was just what Queen's Grant needed coming off of a 79-50 loss in their prior game.
Queen's Grant's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jermaine Moncrieffe, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and five blocks. Moncrieffe hasn't dropped below two blocks for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was Christian Shamberger, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 17 rebounds.
Queen's Grant's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-9. As for Valor Preparatory Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Queen's Grant on the road again on Thursday and play against Albemarle at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th. As for Valor Preparatory Academy, they will challenge Apprentice Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Apprentice Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
