Football Game Preview: Lighthouse Christian Chargers vs. Pierce City Eagles

The Lighthouse Christian Chargers will head out on the road to square off against the Pierce City Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pierce City took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Lighthouse Christian, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Lighthouse Christian earned a 21-13 win over Diamond. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chargers.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 54 points the game before, Pierce City was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were beaten by Marionville 50-13. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 227th, while the Comets are ranked 79th).

Pierce City has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.3 points over those games. As for Lighthouse Christian, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-3.

Lighthouse Christian took a serious blow against Pierce City in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 50-12. Can the Chargers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
