Baseball Game Preview: Caesar Rodney Riders vs. Indian River Braves

The Caesar Rodney Riders will take on the Indian River Braves at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Indian River took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Caesar Rodney, who comes in off a win.

On Wednesday, Caesar Rodney was able to grind out a solid victory over Quakertown, taking the game 5-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Riders.

The team relied heavily on Ethan Wisler, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Kurt Helsdon, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Bayside hit Indian River with a six-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Braves fell 12-8 to the Marlins. The Braves have struggled against the Marlins recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Chris Moore and Dillon Price stepped up to the plate in a big way. Moore went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Price went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Moore is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Caesar Rodney's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Indian River, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
