Football Game Preview: Warrensburg-Latham Cardinals vs. Fieldcrest Knights

The Warrensburg-Latham Cardinals will face off against the Fieldcrest Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Warrensburg-Latham hasn't scored more than 13 points for four games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

On Friday, Warrensburg-Latham lost to Dwight on the road by a 28-13 margin.

Meanwhile, Fieldcrest played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 34-6 loss at the hands of Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley. The defeat continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost four in a row.

Warrensburg-Latham will have to keep a close watch on Zach Overocker and Lucas Anson, a pair of players who had a big impact on Fieldcrest's prior game. Overocker rushed for 71 yards and one score on only eight carries, while Anson rushed for 130 yards. Anson's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 102 rushing yards.

Warrensburg-Latham's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Fieldcrest, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
